The skies may be gray and the rain may be falling, but that doesn’t mean you have to cancel date night. There are plenty of rainy day date ideas perfect for brightening up even the grayest of days.
- Movie Night – When the gray, drizzly days compel you to just stay in bed – do it! Build a pillow and blanket fort, dim the lights and queue up your favorite movie or long delayed DVR list. - Learn Something New – These days you can find virtually any kind of lesson online. Cooking demonstrations, instructional dance videos, how to speak different languages and so much more. Pick an activity and look for an app or video to help you dive in. You’ll have fun laughing with each other as you figure out the correct pronunciation or dance step, or you’ll end up with a delicious meal for two – the possibilities are endless.
- Be a Kid Again – What were the things you loved to do when it was just too hot – or wet – to be outside? Head to a local arcade or fun spot like Dave and Buster’s and challenge each other to a heated air hockey or Pac-Man match. Pull out your skates and head to the local roller rink for open skate time. Hit the trampoline room or lazer tag floor at Lazer Kraze. Pull out the WiiU or Playstation and challenge each other to a night of Mario Kart races or Mortal Kombat battles. There’s nothing saying you have to act like an adult ALL the time!
