Built in 1800 by Samual and Mary Kain, the space was originally used to make wagon wheels and eventually transitioned into buggies. Inspired by travels to Europe and a visit to a restaurant called, Marlborough’s in London, the décor is country chic with pieces from all over the country. They started with the original home and added a 126 seat room and family gathering space. In addition to the indoor dining space and bar, the café also features a huge backyard, which includes outdoor dining and fire pits to enjoy on cooler evenings. Their menu is an expansion of the Cozy’s Cottage menu — farm-to-table and offers dishes that use fresh ingredients from their garden daily. Some of the new menu items include fried chicken, cheezy grits, crab cakes, carrot cake and collard greens. It’s a unique alternative to chain restaurants where everything is the same. Each night the selection is different at Cozy’s Café & Pub, and it’s definitely worth checking out this new addition to the Liberty Township area!
Be on the lookout, it’s opening soon! Visit the Cozy’s Cottage website for more info.
