My husband and I enjoyed a great date night at Prime 47. It was nice to be kid-free for an evening to enjoy adult conversation while eating a really nice meal.
The atmosphere at Prime 47 sets the mood for a date night with candlelight, white table linens and relaxing music by a pianist. During our meal, we actually heard one of our songs being played in the background. What more could you ask for! In addition, Prime 47 is located downtown right across from the Aronoff, which makes it an excellent choice for a pre-show dinner.
Prime 47 also has outdoor patio seating and a large bar area with lots of great natural lighting for people watching on the street.
We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail for an appetizer. The cocktail sauce had a great punch to it that quickly went away. I enjoyed the cocktail sauce so much.
Our server educated us on the different cuts of meat that we could choose from before we ordered our main entree.
I ordered the House Salad. The salad dressings are made in house so you can’t really go wrong. I asked our server what his favorite dressing was and went with his recommendation of honey mustard. At first glance, I thought they forgot to put the dressing on my salad but I tasted the first bite, I discovered that the dressing was evenly distributed throughout the salad.
My husband ordered Caesar Salad (Hearts of romaine, Parmesan, white anchovies, croutons).
My husband ordered the Dry-Aged KC Strip with the enhancement of Roquefort Sauce (Creamy bleu cheese sauce)
I will warn you that a meal at Prime 47 leaves such an impression that you will still be thinking about your meal a few days later.
