Trying to break the mold and find new and adventurous date activities? There are so many fun things to take advantage of in our area, you’re sure to find the perfect fit for your active and adventure-seeking lifestyle. We’ve put together a list of seven adventurous things to do for a date to get you out the door and adventuring in no time!
- Zip Lining – If you are truly adventurous think about trying out a zip-lining tour. Dagaz Acres, Camp Kern, the Creation Museum, and many other local parks and attractions offer zip lining. You can even find indoor zip-lining adventures at places such at Zip City.
- Hiking – Taking a hike on one of the many trails in our area is a great adventurous date. If you’re just starting out pick an easier trail or if you are looking to go more extreme, pick a longer trail and camp over night. Check out our post on Local Hiking Spots for ideas.
- Canoeing & Kayaking – There are literally dozens of places to rent canoes and kayaks for the day and go on an adventure. Make it into an all day date – pack a lunch to take with you and find a scenic spot by the river to pull over and enjoy it. Little Miami Canoe Rental, Loveland Canoe & Kayak, Whitewater Canoe Rental are great spots for rentals, just to name a few.
- Biking – The Loveland Bike Trail comes immediately to mind when thinking of a great place to head out for a day of biking and exploration. Looking for something closer to downtown? Sawyer Point is an excellent spot for a quick bike around town, and you can even rent a bike for the day from Wheel Fun Rentals. Most parks, such as Woodland Mound and Devou Park, have great bike trails that are well marked and fun to explore as well.
- Rock Climbing – Climb Time in Blue Ash offers indoor climbing for every age and skill-level. You can rent climbing specific shoes, as well. RockQuest is also a great indoor rock climbing spot, and Zip City offers rock climbing in addition to zip lining!
- Indoor Trampoline – Trampolines aren’t just for the kids. If you’d like to find out what it would be like to literally jump off of walls, then try an indoor trampoline park. Sky Zone in Springdale and Lazer Kraze in Erlanger both have amazing indoor trampoline rooms that allow you to soar and jump to your heart’s content. Some even offer adult dodgeball and fitness classes.
- Go Karting – Full Throttle Indoor Karting and The Web Extreme both offer indoor go kart adventures that allow you to go head to head against your date to see who is the go kart champion! If you ever wanted to be a race car driver, this is your adventure!
