What a treat! My wife and I recently had the fantastic opportunity to have a date night at Jag’s in West Chester.
From the second we walked in the door to the moment we left, every aspect was impeccable.
After entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. Our location in the restaurant was amazing. The table, strewn with beautiful pink flower petals, was next to a fireplace. Add in soft music and soft lighting, and right from the start a romantic mood was set for our dinner.
While Jag’s certainly is an upscale establishment, adorned with rich wood and glamorous décor, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable.
Helping to illustrate that fact was our server, James. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and very attentive, but James also gave the perfect amount of guidance while still allowing us to navigate our dining options.
We got started with some drinks. My wife chose a glass of Malbec wine, while I decided to go with a fun drink and selected the Blackberry Fizz.

After narrowing it down to a few selections, we opted for the Camelot Chicken for our appetizer. These coconut-encrusted chicken pieces were crispy and delicious. The coconut honey mustard sauce that came with it added a great flavor.

We both followed the appetizer with a fresh and crunchy salad – before delving into our entrees.
My wife loved her Filet Mignon, noting it was cooked perfectly. Her steak, in a veal demi-glace and topped with onion straws, came with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus.

I selected the Chilean Seabass, and it was outstanding. It came topped with thai-chili beurre blanc (a light sauce), as well as garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.

We couldn’t pass up a chance to indulge in one of the desserts. After deciding we would share it, we chose the Chocolate Caramel Brownie. This dessert was very tasty, providing the perfect ending to our dining at Jag’s.

And while it was a great chance to enjoy delicious food, the setting at Jag’s also provided a wonderful respite for my wife and me during our busy lives.
However, our experience at Jag’s was not finished. We moved to the bar area, where we were entertained by Cincinnati band My Sister Sarah.

Dressed in funky outfits and full of energy, the band played an array of songs, including several ’80s and ’90s hits. With an infectious enthusiasm, My Sister Sarah had much of the audience dancing and singing along.
Overall, we were thrilled with the combination of a fine-dining experience and an exciting show. We definitely will be back for a sophisticated and fun date night at Jag’s.
